War is a Racket

Actually, life itself is a racket. But we are talking about war and Major General Smedley D. Butler's book "War is a Racket." In continuing with American culture of creating crises then profiting from those crises, American-Israeli war on Iran. Americans love war. America is a war loving nation. Now, war is even more popular since events are live broadcast. You could watch Iranians and Palestinians school kids torn into tiny pieces alive. That is the real deal of high rating media material. Military-

"Out of War," a few people make huge fortunes as General Butler wrote in his book. The industrial complex of all parties involved in war would make huge profits. WW1 cost American taxpayers 52 billion dollars. It's about 400 U.S.D for each American man, woman and child. It wasn't paid yet when the U.S is planning for another war as General Butler views the matter. The outcome is:"21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United States during the world war."

On a normal day, a businessman could achieve 12% profit. However, that change during wars, profit could skyrocket to 800% high. Du Ponts, the famous Chemical industrial company made a profit during (1910-1914) of 6 million per year. However, during (1914-1918), the yearly profit of the kangaroo jumped to 58 million dollars per year. Bethlehem steel company quit manufacturing of rails and bridges to ammunition. Profit in (1910-1914) was 6 million and made the kangaroo jump in (1914-1918) to 49 million dollars per year. Now Bethlehem was a small steel company, but United States steel was a different story. During the five year period (1910-1914) made a profit of 105 million dollars per year. However during (1914-1918), they made kangaroos jump to 240 million dollars per year.

Copper is another business that does well at war times. Anaconda company prewar (1910-1914) profit was 10 million/year kangaroo jump during (1914-1918) to 34 million/year. Another Copper company, Utah Copper, profit of kangaroos jumped from 5 million/year to 12 million/year during the war period.

Even the leather and Sugar Company made that miraculous kangaroo jump in their profits during the war. The 3 years before the war, The Central Leather Company made 1,167,000 dollars/year. They made the kangaroo jump during the war in their profits. In 1916, the company made 15 million dollars, a 1,100% increase. The American Sugar Refining Company made 2 million dollars/year the three years before the war. However, they recorded a 6 million dollar profit in 1916.

Everybody made lots and lots of money during WW1. On the top were the bankers that nobody knew how much or if they pay their taxes as required by law. The question is who paid the bills? American people bought the Liberty bonds for 100 dollars per bond as an example. Then bankers manipulate the market so people get frightened and sell their bonds at 84-85 dollars per bond. Then bankers will stage a boom in the bond market and sell the bonds they bought from the public for huge profit.

But who paid and still pay the biggest price tag during wars are the soldiers. Hundreds of thousands of regular ordinary citizens were taken from their factories, classes, and farms thrown into hell after a training period taught them one thing, kill or you are getting killed. Then after the war, they were discharged without necessary rehabilitation. The outcome, many end up homeless or in mental hospital or in jails for violent crimes. To add salt on the wound and to get soldiers for less, the media sold them patriotism and nationalism. Soldiers like to be decorated. They introduce the Medal of Honor system, but not until after the civil war.

And every war for the media to silence people, will falsely claim, it was the war that will end all wars.

Sounds familiar

End
