A Case for Democracy

Nobody can deny the fact that electing Donald Trump as president in the 2016 American election raises a contentious discussion about terms such as Democracy and Populism. Reelecting Donald Trump again in 2024 raises more discussion about the nature of democracy. And do we live in democracies or it's just another form of dictatorship? Communist, Marxist or capitalist, it doesn't matter. It's all about changing the name game.

The discussion is open. We all face ethical questions about democracy. Is an election best expressing democracy and people's free will? Does election mean democracy? Do the 60% winning have the right to marginalize the other 40%? What is the effect of the media on people's opinion? And to what limit the media can be honest? Can money buy democracy?

I mean you know, Adolf Hitler won a democratic election. The result was WW2 and over 50 million civilians killed, Nuclear weapons used over Japanese cities, the Holocaust and the moral acceptance of slaughtering millions of civilians to defeat Nazism. Meanwhile, the media never was honest with the public opinion about a Wall Street helping fund Hitler war machine, Jewish wealthy businessman funding Hitler, and an American intelligence officer helping Hitler write his book “Mein Kampf.”

Hitler and WW2 were examples and many others will follow. What is making American democracy special? Norway, Canada, Sweden, Finland all are democracies. American democracy can be bought with money. Lobbying is a common practice where what is best for the people is decided by the amount of money paid by this lobbying group or that. Political money dominates American democracy and turns it into an ugly phenomena.

Everybody knows how the U.S supports directly or indirectly Islamists all over the world. They throw people into the hands of a few elite ultra-orthodoxy Islamists that they despise in public the idea of democracy. They aided terrorist organizations to overthrow secular governments then asking these terrorists to join the international coalition to fight terrorism. That is bitchy behavior. America will support the son of bitch as long as he is theirs (America) son of bitch. Iranian, Russian or Chinese sons of bitches aren't welcomed at all.

After all of that, does anybody believe that the U.S is a democracy?
