The Price of Green Transformation

I am not sure what to comment on the new policy of the European Union in regards to Green Transformation in 2050. I can't understand how it is possible to fight global warming and climate change by polluting the environment and expanding mining with all negative effects. This is the EU policy to accomplish the Green Deal by the year 2050.

It's all about business. European officials supposedly elected by people declare that they will go ahead in expanding mining regardless of people's opposition. They will work with the local community but without giving the locals the right of making the final decision.

The negative effects of such mining projects are ignored by the governments and the mining companies. The companies violate the contract terms and the environmental laws in polluting the local water and air quality. Mining companies dump toxic waste in a manmade lake which sometimes collapses and floods large areas killing all kinds of life including people. In one incident in Brazil, a toxic lake collapsed with more than 200 dead or missing. No compensation paid for the victims or to remove the pollutants. Who cares for the poor native Brazilians?

EU elected officials don't care for their own people. They are allowing mining in natural declared habitats. Native people in Sweden roaming those areas before Sweden became united as a country. They are Sheep and Reindeer farmers. Mining companies are destroying their natural pastors. Dangerous ground cracks appeared in nearby several mining locations and people relocated their homes and shops.

I don't believe that fixing a problem by creating a bigger one is a reasonable solution. Climate Change and Global warming are real problems. However, polluting the environment in order to make electric cars isn't a solution. The real motive is more profit and not achieving the green deal goals. Everything going on with that isn't making any sense. Think about it and let me know your opinion.
